Hello Neighbour….

oscas_thumb1Most of us don’t know our next door neighbours let alone any artisans that may be toiling away in our area. The Australian Ceramics Association (TACA) is remedying that with the OSCAS (Open Studio Ceramics Australia Showcase).  This weekend around 100 ceramic artists/designers Australia wide are flinging open their studios to the public and allowing you to see the alchemy it takes to produce their beautiful wares. There will be cups of tea and biscuits, playing with clay, possibly even a kiln firing. You may even come home with a favourite new cup or bowl.

To get details go onto TACA’s website or their blog for information on your local potters and studio trails in your area.
